I started my first albums on the web with Photopoint. They were supposed
to stop the account from July 2001 but the creator of Photopoint eventually
bought back the company and somehow, my free album is still available

Fraser Hill Birding
with Neoh CK, Wong KS and Casey Ching. Pictures of the Green Magpie. Not
all moths are little dull brownish creatures. Check this album to find
out. |

Kanthan Baru. A
nesting pair of Changeable Hawk-eagle. Too late for detailed observations,
looks like the chick is going to fledge anytime. |

Kek Look Tong, Ipoh. Pictures
of the Drongo-Cuckoo and a Blue-eared Kingfisher. |
| 19 & 22 Apr 2001 |
Bukit Larut and
Maktab Sains Taiping. These trips were to video the long-tailed
broadbills seen recently near the Celcoms tower. Videos were not very good
due to rain and poor light. As a bonus, I had a glimpse of an orange-headed
thrush. The thick-billed pigeons at Maktab Sains were easy to video but
again, bad weather on both days prevent total videography satisfaction. |

Langkawi Island Birding
trip. Eight of us went there to bird and we all had a great time.
Hightlights were many Great Hornbills feeding at gunung Raya, the
Brown-winged Kingfisher near Berjaya Resort, many Red-wattled Lapwings
and a brief view of a Blue-winged Pitta. |

Miscellaneous bird images.
These are some videos takend from several places. Two species of broadbills
here. An interesting shot of a stilt apparently with many pairs of legs
and a lanternfly. |
| 16-17 Jun 2001 |
Kuala Gula & Taiping.
This was an owling trip to Kuala Gula followed by birding at Burmese pool
and briefly at the Kg Jambu heronry the following day. Highlights were
a cooperative Barn Owl (no picture), Orange-breasted Woodpecker (no picture)
and a nesting Black-winged Flycatcher-shrike. Lucky video of a nuthatch. |

July 2001 had not been a very lucky month for me as far as bird videography
is concerned. Nonethelss, a few interesting pictures are available in this
2001
Jul album. |
| 7 Aug 2001 |
New album for Aug 2001. This
includes an interesting sighting of a juvenile Grey-rumped Treeswift discovered
by Mr Chiu. It is very well camouflaged. Test shots of both the TRV20 and
TRV900 using the photo mode of the camcorders are included. |

A second album for Aug
had been added. These are photos from two trips to Taiping and Pos Slim
on 18 and 19 Aug. The album includes repeat but better photos of the Scaly-breasted
Bulbul and the juvenile Grey-rumped Treeswift. Comparison shots of the
TRV900 in photo and interlaced video mode are available for some of the
species. |

A Bala Wildlife Research Station
album had been added. These are photos from the Bala part of the Hala-Bala
Wildlife Research Station. Eight of us including two members from KL made
the trip. Highlights included a juvenile Wreathed Hornbill, nesting Bat
Hawk, Scarlet-rumped Trogon, Violet Cuckoo and a green tree frog. |

A Pos Slim Sep Album
had been added. Not much luck with bird videos during this month but the
Chestnut-naped Forktails provided me with some consolations. As a little
bonus, I also got some videos of a Slaty-backed Forktail. |

An Oct 2001 Album had
been added. I had good videos of some owls from Kuala Gula and a Japanese
Sparrowhawk in this album. Some pictures of a male Brown-throated Sunbirds
are also available. The video of the Black-shoulder kite feeding on a monitor
lizard was a bit of a disappointment, possibly due to heat wave and the
distance. |

A November 2001 Album
is now added. This contains pictures of owls, four kingfishers, black bazas
and a few other birds. |

A December 2001 Adjutant Album
is now added. This contains pictures of the Lesser Adjutant at Parit Jawa. Other waders from Parit Jawa and other birds will be placed into another new album soon. |

A December 2001 Album
had been added. This contains pictures of the waders from Parit Jawa and birds from other areas. Includes sandpipers, godwits, common kingfisher, herons and a slaty-breasted rail. A small picture of a green broadbill (my first video of this species) is also included. |
