| I spent most of my birding times at Kuala Gula, Bukit Merah and around
Taiping during this month. The discovery of the Dusky Eagle Owl and the
Grey-headed Fish Eagle at Bukit Merah by Dr Chan Ah Lak was probably the
main reason. I had to take multiple attempts to successfully video the
owl. I am happy with the video of the Dusky Eagle Owl and the Barn Owl.
However, due to the distance and the heat waves over the lake, no decent
video of the fish eagle could be obtained. Other than the Collared Kingfisher,
the other three kingfisher videos were disappointly not satisfactory. I
may need to retake these.
The waders had returned to Malim Nawar but I did not have much time
for them this month. More pictures of the waders should be forthcoming
in the next album. |
